Spoke

SPOKE is a piece of lighting made from discarded bicycle wheels.

Spoke was inspired by waste that can be transformed into something that appears expensive. The idea was to turn the wheel into a pendant light that would take on the appearance of a chandelier. This tongue- in- cheek reference to the expense of chandeliers is achieved through the use of acrylic blocks that bounce the light casting interesting shadows across your ceiling. Spoke can be created in numerous colours with varying amounts of ‘shadow blocks’.
